First Ride
Just started into biking. Decided that I need a little more excercise than just walking the golf course (and I do walk. Don't take a cart unless they force you to take one). Knowing my past, I decided to start with nothing too expensive but didn't want to go to a Big Box store (based on the various posts). Got a Trek 820 at my LBS and took it out for my first ride last night. It is addicting. Rode about 10 miles. Lots of trails in the Will County, IL area, and it is very easy to get lost in your ride. I had to remind myself that I also needed to get back to the place I started from. But all that aside, it was great. My rear is a little sore today, but if that's all I have to worry about, I'll live with it. Looking forward to a nice weekend and several more rides along the I&M canal.
