I am under the impression that there will be a lot of "pirates" on this ride. It appears that the 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 5:20 PM
Amtrak's out of San Diego still have seats available. I would recommend purchasing a reservation for your bicycle, if you choose to take the Amtrak back.
BTW, If you see someone with
hokeyspokes on their front wheel, pedal up and say "Hi". I run hokeyspokes on my front wheel when I commute (e.g. goofball factor). I'm debating leaving them on for the ride; at least up to the first rest stop.
