With a low normal, upward pull gives a higher gear, either side. Aside from being opposite to top-normal, it is more intuitive. I use one on one of my road bikes. It's great.

If you want top-normal, you have only about thirty choices. For value-for money, I suppose that LX would be hard to beat. That being said, there are some good deals on the XTR-M950 top-normal derailleurs here and there, and that is a very nice derailleur. I recommend it.
