Univega Viva Sport
I have been looking for a clean Miyata 1000 and Miyata 912 for a reasonable price. I would settle for a Miyata 610 and Miyata 710 in better shape for the same price. I found a Univega Viva Sport in great shape-true, a few minor scratches down to the primer but not bare metal and only a few chips and components in great shape. I got the seller down to $70, so I bought it.
I would like to know more about the bike.
Bottom #MU50297
CBT Frame tubing
Magnalight fork
Suntour Le Pree front and rear derailleur (85?,86?)
Sakae Custom Road Champion handlebar
Sakae crank
Sakae Custom stem
Dia-Compe G500 brakes
Araya red label 27X1
It feels and looks a lot like a Miyata manufactured frame. Can anyone date it and tell me if it was a Miyata manufactured frame? Where might it fit in the Miyata lineup quality wise? Thanks in advance.
