a benefit for the Sopo Bicycle Cooperative
Atlanta GA

Sunday, October 15

Metric Century Start: 8:00am
Alleycat Start: 9:30am
After Party starts at 12:00pm
Awards at 2ish

Meric Century (62 miles):
Hills. About 35 of them. At least 20 between 8% and 12% gradient (thats between "this sucks" and "oh f**k!") with options including a +18% a**kicker and a short burst of Paris-Roubaix style pave.
The course winds its way through downtown Atlanta and the surrounding neighborhoods for 62 miles giving you views of beautiful old
neighborhoods, wonderous industrial vistas, and the homes of people who have way more money than they know what to do with.
The route is never more than 6 miles away from downtown Atlanta and is almost entirely serviced by MARTA busses.
Rest stops will be provided as well as a SAG vehicle which will be on call for emergencies.
Convenience stores are everywhere if you need a quick pit stop.
If you want to combine your love of climbing hills with your lust for riding in traffic and your desire for bad city streets, this ride has everything you need. (It's a Sunday morning so there probably won't be a whole lot of traffic really)

Hills Alleycat:
Same hills, you choose the order, you choose the route.
32 mandatory climbs ranging between 5% and 18%
All hills must be completed to compete for prizes.
Placement based on time only.
Prizes for top overall riders and top fixed/ss.

Entry for Metric Century is $30.
This includes: T-shirt, spoke card, rest stops, after party with food, maps and cue sheets.
Registration must be in by October 7 to recieve a T-shirt.
On-site registration until 8:00am on the 15th. (still $30)

Entry fee for Alleycat is $15.
($30 get you a t-shirt of you register by Oct. 7)
This includes: spoke card, manifest... what? you expected something else?
OK, we'll let you into the after party too.
