For the record, any coating would come off. The anodizing would, most likely, not gunk up your pads but after a couple of uses the coloration will wear away. I would also wonder about the stability of the aluminum under some of the heat that can be generated. Has anyone tried these to see if they warp? Does anyone know how much heat can be generated from a typical hydraulic brake set-up?
