I can't answer your cassette-compatibility question, but I've one other consideration to throw into the hopper: If you go to a larger cassette, will your derailleur have enough take-up capacity (or "chain-wrap" capacity) to work with the longer chain? I don't think that the three-tooth difference will overwhelm the derailleur, but it's a question worth asking of the experts here...
