I like the slightly exposed bulb, it lets some light escape from underneath which lights the front hub area of my bike. I commute 2 hours a day all thru pacific northwest rain, and rain has never caused a problem with the non enclosed bulb. I mount my light under my handlebars, so that I can still flip my bike upside down to change a flat without having to fitz around with the lights. No idea how it compares to the othger lights you listed since ive not used them.
Is the wattage adjustable? Doesn't say exactly on the Nashbar web site. Also, Does the battery get in the way??
