so... they could fix a crappy job at minimal cost to them and possibly generate a public gushing of satisfaction and admiration from a repeat customer or they could make a bull***** threat to the same customer at absolutely no cost to them and have a little corner of the cycling community consider them asses.

spectrum... you guys are silly.

if they did a crappy job, they did a crappy job. if they knew the job would be crappy because of a finishing issue, and have the experience to be able to convey that to you after they finished and you expressed your dissatisfaction, they should have explained the same before they did any work and suggested ways to mitigate it.

it's not slander when someone drops the ball. if they dropped the ball, they messed up and potential customers deserve to know that they may lack an attention to important details.

they can still make this right by doing the standup thing and re-doing the job--though it is exceedingly sleazy to threaten a customer like that...
