okay. Then my advice would be as follows:
If you are only doing light XC work, then the fork you have is probably fine.
If you are going to do jumps or drops, then you can try to 'trade in' your fork for a different one. You may end up paying a few extra bucks, but since your fork is brand-spanking new, there is no reason why your LBS wouldn't give you the full value on it.
Names I would trust for forks:
Rock-Shox
Fox
Marzocchi
Like I said, you may have to pay a few extra bucks, but you will be getting a fork that doesn't have a history of cracking at a potentially critical moment.
