I did the Montrose easy ride (7:50am ride) this morning on my fixed gear.....exactly 50 miles. Unfortunately there was one crash this morning in our group. Bob (my wife's dentist) apparently ran over a large metal object in the middle of the road, went down, and gashed his knee pretty badly. He was able to ride his bike but decided to turn back with another rider. We all contined on with the ride.
Near the end of the ride we came upon this guy on the side of the road from another fast group in which his carbon fork on both sides had cleanly snapped off clean in the crown area and he went down. Luckily this was on a slight incline so he was only going like 10 mph when his fork failed. I later learned that his Look frame and fork were only a couple of weeks old.

I came home and spent the rest of the afternoon finish building my fixed gear/single speed commuter/coffee bike. This bike looks totally rad....26" wheels, moustache bars, front cantis, Brooks saddle....
