Yes. Have to get on the brakes quickly in case someone gets in the way crossing through Manker Flats, but that quarter mile is plenty long enough to hit some absurdly high speeds. The day I hit 51.8 MPH, I had forgotten to zip up my jersey.
That probably would have bought me a bit more speed.
