My friend and I finally gave up and camped in a State Park restroom. Next day he called home and got his parents to come and get us. Good thing too, as all the roads were flooded and after driving 60 miles to find an open road, a couple of funnel clouds passed over the car.

Yeah, I didn't want to be out once the weather changed, and it changed very quickly. I was about six miles from home and thought it better to try and push on home before it got much worse.
