I think it is the season. Except for a hardy few (or those in gentler climes) many of us are hanging up our bikes or putting them on the trainers for the winter. So we're kind of moping around, with little bike-related to say.
I've tried winter biking and it's not my thing. When there's snow on the ground I'd rather XC ski!
And if DG makes a gloating wisecrack about the warm weather in San Diego, we're all going to go out there and kick his heinie into the Pacific.
