Worst Sandbaggers of All Time

Or best. However you want to look at it. Link to some results of folks that have displayed a very ballsy desire to win when it isn't their turn to win.

Bud. You can't downgrade to 5. None of this makes any sense. Is this like a Borat style joke?

different name and different situation (i'm not one to disgrace a family man over the internet), but i've seen it happen. a cat 5 downgrade. fellow was a stronger 4 and downgraded to a 5 for an omnium weekend. and won. i'll PM you if you don't believe me. i'd like to know how it was possible

see yeah, that's what i thought too. but just last year it happened. in 2013 he was a stronger 4, in 2015 he was a 5 and destroyed everyone in an omnium and didn't race anymore after that. people were pissed but nobody knows how/why they let him do it.

It was no coincidence. Also, TKP's reference was to Elmer Nero, who downgraded from euro pro in order to crush the tuesday night shop rides in Smyrna, Georgia.

The Redlands Classic has a public race crit for cyclists that aren't USAC and may be intimidated by crits, or just want to be a part of the most prestigous race in the US. Anyway, a friend of mine who's a Cat 4 entered and lapped the field.

I probably should have answered 'who cares' since that's what the cool kids are doing, but that ship sailed long ago.
