Your Dream Road Racing Bike

If you're like me and the slack jaw, large eyes, weak in the knees symptoms happen when you are in a bike show or watching the great stuff the pros use what would be your dream setup if someone was sponsoring you?

If based on looks alone, I would pick a Scott Foil or the Specialized Venge:

Groupset Campagnolo Super Record EPS
Wheels/Hubs Enve SES 4.5/Tune Mig45 Mag170 but I'm really interested in the new offerings from Vittoria
Tires Schwalbe Ultremo ZX HD or HS 380
Stem/Handlebar Either an Aerocockpit from Scott or Specialized or the standard Zipp SL Sprint Stem and Zipp or Enve Aero Road Bar combo.
Brakes if possible I would like hydro integrated disk brakes but for now, I prefer integrated frame brakes like the Specialized or Giant SpeedControl SL system.
Saddle ISM Attack but with carbon inner shell and rails... it weighs a ton.

What would you guys choose?

I've agree on the venge viias. My lbs has one on stock and holly cow is it a piece of engineering. Frame design probably the best I've seen, however, color not that great. It also seems like a heavy bike. I know that aero bikes are heavier than standard frames but this may be much closer to a tt bike than the old venge.

Personally, I'm a sucker for the look 795 aerolight.

There's no accounting for taste, I guess.

Giant Propel with Di2 sprint shifting and Enve's, whatever one is around 60mm deep and that engine thing Cancellara uses.

the ViAS seems polarizing in terms of looks. not sure what camp i'm in.

curious--what didn't you like about the color? it's satin black, right? or did your shop have the other one in (in which case i agree)?

i haven't seen one in person, but there's one in a box in a warehouse with my name on it--haven't made it over to pick it up. wasn't 100% sure i want it yet.

only a handful have made it out in the wild yet.

edit: satin = matte. the frames that made it to the World Tour were glossy. confusing b/c specialized calls it 'satin project black', but 'project black' was used for the original (late 2011/early '12 MY) venge.

I just think that the black and white color is probably a bit bland for such a nice bike. The bike is perfect but I'd give it A special paint job to make it stand out. Hence i love the look cofidis bikes.
