1hr easy yesterday, didn't need the rest but took it anyway to get used to the rhythm of structure again. Today's 2hrs on the trainer since it's supposed to be apocalyptic about an hour from now.

Did some threshold intervals last night. It just keeps getting colder and the forecast is predicting snow next week in my town. That is a very rare event.

Did some nice 2X20s at 90%. I am surprisingly tired, coach has been making me actually get my CTL below 100, so weird.

90mins with trainerroad workout called holt hill which is part of the sweet spot base program, 15min intervals between 70-80%. A little too easy for me given my recent history of 60min sweet spot work lol

Just commuting all week. I guess I'm doing some maintenance 4x5s and Z2 this weekend, which is a little unfortunate cause I thought I was done with intervals for the year, but oh well! End of the season is easy to see from here, though. November 29th.

Way to keep bellying up to the sweet spot buffet! I've been doing a lot of sweet spot myself and they seem to be getting easier. I'm looking forward to my next 20 min. test to see if I am getting results.

I'd like to get to a CTL somewhere around there at least once before I hang up the wheels. I've peaked in the low to middle 70s and increases from 50 to 60 to 70 all seemed to lead on to better performance. Maybe 100 is too much for me, but I'd like to get that much closer to the sun and find out.

Tread lightly. High CTL and life stress do not mix well at all.

I've hit 95 a couple times. I don't think I could have gone much higher without quitting my job or leaving my family.

We get the rare dusting that melts at sunrise. Looks like the forecast has a changed a bit and now we're just going to be really cold.

Getting some decent rides in before/on the way to work this week. Tuesday 57 miles/4700 feet, today group ride + commute for 64 miles. Seems like a good schedule for a while.

Meh, probably like 3hrs today since it's nice out. I was supposed to aim for ~11hrs this week, but this will put me at 11.75 and I still have the weekend to ride \_(ツ)_/

this.

each year my goal is to hit mid 90s early season, then about 90 later in season. I never stay there either, it was just the point to take things easier for 2-3 weeks and 'peak'.

Despite the running I do in cyclocross, it is still The Worst and I dread its addition to my routine next season, even in tiny amounts.

when you run for cross training does one focus on sprints / short bursts, or something else?
