Same. This year I had three peaks in the mid-90s: March 15 (Land Park/Bariani); June 13 (Nevada City); and September 3 (District Crit). I will probably follow a similar plan this year.

3x20 @ 85% (trainerroad workout tray mountain). Sorta following the sweet spot base program, but instead of the 3x12 at 85% I did the longer one. That's self coaching!

Those six extra minutes will make all the difference in the spring, he said semi-jokingly, semi-seriously.

Something that'll probably never happen again...today's workout was 2x10' threshold plus intervals. Both came in at 104%; same watts for both and NP=AP for both. The terrain was half flat and half rolling for both. I don't know how that worked out, but it did!

3.5 hours on my geared road bike. having gears is kind of fun...who'd have thought. would have gone longer but had to make it home by lunch-ish.

4:30 mostly with the club today. Cold start, 36 degrees. The strength work in the gym has really been paying off. It was almost like a no chain day from this perspective, plenty of power. I ran out of gas at the 4:00 mark though and eased it on home.

Spectrum group ride today. Won a sprint, then got dropped (?!) on the rolling section just after that.
I think it was a combo of brake rub and lack of fitness.
At least I know I'm not peaking yet!

River Ride today.
Was ok. Engine isn't all there right now and I gassed out before both sprints in small moves where'd I'd be able to push through a few months ago. It's November though.
edit: it was brake rub, too

had a wedding to attend yesterday - did an hour on the trainer/TT bike. Power is still **** on the tt bike on that setup but my hamstrings and glutes are sore today. At least it's doing something.
I'm too afraid to try intervals still, but I did do 5 minutes at like 10w less than I did 46 minutes at Nats and it was untenable.

Fun team cross ride, well, they are always fun. We climbed to the top of the gunks and then picked up a teammate who lives at the top (he actually lives at the Mountain House), who's very fit right now so we get a fresh guy tearing our legs off right after we've done a tough climb.
The highlight was when a teammate got his new lobster gloves stuck under his brake levers on a fast technical descent, screamed like (exactly like) somebody faking ecstasy, and shot off the side of the trail like a comet. I was sure we were going to have to figure out how to get an ambulance down the trail. We found him about 15 feet off the trail, curled in a ball whimpering, tucked between a big log and a boulder, magically unhurt except for a smashed banana in his pocket, which he was trying to eat. It was completely hilarious.

snuck in ~3 hours before having to make it back to town (this whole having a social life thing is weird). chilly and a light rain. perfect. as much as i love racing, having this weekend off was incredible. probably wouldn't be doing the last two races of the year if i hadn't pre reg'd.

90 minutes on the trainer yesterday with 30 of them at 90%. Club century ride today, 105 chilly miles total. Not feeling much faster but definitely feeling stronger, which is the goal for the next couple of months.

Almost 2 hours yesterday on the trainer, and 2 hours today. I feel like my legs are finally coming around, except for high effort intervals. Started one of the zwift workouts yesterday...started with 2x1 at 405 watts. I did the first one minute interval and canned the workout. Not ready for that yet.
Either way, been feeling good on the bike lately. Which is awesome because I was feeling a little rundown and not wanting ride for a couple weeks. Ready to start prepping for 2016.
