4 years. Is that a second positive? Or just a really bad first test?

refusing out of comp test ... so no results at all. assume that it'd be worst possible case if they did take the test.

I can't imagine living like that, just waiting for the ax to fall.

I remember reading something somewhere about how someone owns a cake company but she can't bake, she uses box mixes. Problem is her cake company is really successful but she's afraid someone will find out. Not sure if it's true or not but the stress of living that lie... I just can't imagine trying to live like that. I briefly Googled the rider's name, he's a coach and seems to have a not-very-viewed Youtube channel. He's vested in the sport but without honest credentials.

Also, probably not the same person, but there's a body builder by that name too.

The cyclist is a former BMX racer, and a lot of those guys lifted a TON.

Actually, from google pics of the bodybuilder and the racer - I think they are the same guy...

You know, in a muscle competition you wear like one thing and one thing only, so I guess my question is, why did he pick cyan?

Bummer ... I wonder if it is better for his coaching business to have not taken the test vs taking the test and revealing what he may be using.

when you don't take the test, you can deny things and SOMEONE out there will believe you.

dude that skipped out on the test in boise in the summer said 'uh, it was just weed.'

some people believe him, too.

lame but true.

There are other reason for some not to take a test. You may have a job, or other reason you don't want the world knowing about what's in you. While medical records are sealed, drug test results get publicized. Not taking the test the competition body sanctions you, but I think that is it (I don't know - my guess).

For this week UCI WC. If you don't show - you could get in trouble.

G. Even if there are chaperons present, ultimately IT IS THE RIDERS’ RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK IF THEY HAVE BEEN
SELECTED FOR ANTI-DOPING CONTROLS. If the rider does not attend the test, a violation of the UCI Anti-Doping
Rules will be noticed and the rider could be sanctioned in accordance with these rules.

one of the NYC promoters has decided that next year convicted dopers won't be eligible for prize money. Interesting to see people complain about it.

I remember some rumblings when one of the first popped riders I knew of returned to racing in the area, probably a few years ago. There are a few former positives on bikes in the area.

I think a significant point here is that said promoter used to be a pro, and probably (realistically?) saw some stuff that maybe people like me never saw.
