Well maybe you're too humble to look it up but I just did and you have won 55% of your races and podiumed in 73% (west coast podium 82%).

So much winning. I believe that you're not too concerned with it, but heck it must be fun!

I feel bad Sally doesn't have proper competition out there. She needs to do a season or two on a continental team. I've ridden with plenty of pro women out here and Sally has the threshold to race with any of them.

The Bump Circuit Race times 2. Two fun races, felt good, power was there, just didn't happen.

7.3 mile loop 3.3 times. Start with a gradual headwind climb with a few steep bumps, right turn, very steep and short finish line bump, some more rollers, a fast 40 mph tailwind descent, and some flats with a nice crisswind. A bit of everything.

Cat 2/3 Started slow. Gradually picked up into attack and counter mode. 2 guys got away really early, one I knew was super strong, but the pace was high and they stayed close. A few more get away and make the catch, but a few guys got really anxious and finally closed it down 10 minutes from the finish. The road is crowded and we hit this one steep pitch a few minute from the finish, and I feel good and need to be at the front now to follow the surge. A gap opens on the left, teammate in front of me. A guy surges through the gap and I yell "Zach Go!". But he didn't go and the gap closed. Boxed in, we sprint for top third placings.

Cat 3/4 I still felt good somehow. I started at the back and 2 guys escaped right at the start and I didn't even see it. 3/4 of the way through lap one I hit a 1 minute roller hard in the crosswind, hoping to hurt some guys but they let me just ride off. I stay away for 15 minutes hoping for help, but finally I see the group chasing like mad behind me and try to look good for the camera haha. I go to the back to rest for a lap, and when I move up I find I've missed the 5 man chase. One teammate made it, but those were low odds and considered chasing. But I didn't, and they stayed away. He got 5th, a decent result. In the pack, we were trying to line it up, but the chaos was maddening. I even got forced off the road into the gravel. Wound up sprinting for 5th of the main pack when I couldn't quite get to the front again.

3 hours with warm up/ cool down. 260 TSS. Upped my ftp a few watts due to stats that make me feel it's time. Finally.

Thanks guys! Winning is definitely fun but I stared too late to take it any farther. At age 42 with kids, job, mortgage etc, I'm pretty limited as to where/when I can race

Nice work Aaron! That's a big day!

Red Kite 3/4 Circuit Race: pack finish

Same course as Aaron. 3 and halfish laps in some mild rollers with head/cross winds. We had 4 guys and a couple other teams had 3 to 4 in there as well. Not a great one for me, but happy to be racing. After the initial break of two got away (immediately after the moto ref gave us the ok to race) there were some light attacks, but nothing that wasn’t covered by the field. Then Aaron went in the head cross wind and after he was pulled back a small group got away. We sent a rider after them, but he failed to connect. When the field pulled our first guy back, we sent another rider who bridged across solo. We covered moves and in the process I got gapped and dropped on the last of the rollers. I sat up to fade toward the back of the field and recover, but the field was a bit smaller than I expected ... Oops. Spent half a lap chasing back on, but reconnected. Our guy won the sprint after the break attacked themselves down to 3 riders.

^^ I did that same race in the 35s. Teams were present and it stayed together for a big cluster sprint at the end. I could have done better, but fatigue from Saturday and disgust at TMB had me kind of out of it so I cruised in around 20th.

Cedar Hill Race Festival Mens 4/5 - great state of Texas, 1.9 mile circuit course

Hill Climb TT - 1st
Saturday RR - 12th - lost my nerve on the descent (ended up in a parking lot the first time down the circuit; had me shaky all race)
Sunday RR - 1st - came around a right hander with about 600m left and swung wide out of the pack and gave it all i had. Got the line by half a wheel!

More than halfway to getting my 4 to 3 upgrade points! Great way to start the year after a crash in my first race back in January

Race of the West 50+ RR, rolling course, came to 20 guys in a 52x14 uphill sprint, took 2nd again, beat handily, prob should have used a 52x15, but still would not have won, BTW - geezers are so unaggressive, as tho it's a century ride where finishing matters, this is bike racing, not bike riding

ROW crit 50+ next day was plainly a lost opportunity, the course was crosswind fun, but did not pan out as well as it should have, team was disappointed to have not taken full advantage, although the team effort wasn't horrible

Are there other on here racing FL this spring?

Winning Cat 4 races != getting shelled in Cat 3 races. Not even close.

If you can sprint and climb to wins in the 4's, you'll be one of the stronger 3's as well.

Only in the 33 is a positive comment wrapped in a mean-looking response.

too true

I think the biggest challenge with the 4 to 3 jump is convincing yourself that you're plenty strong enough to compete and contend for results. It will take a few races, but the novelty of the new category will wear off.

Yep. I actually did get shelled in my first Cat3 race and immediately regretted the upgrade. 2 races later and it was no big deal.

Is there a site with live results from the valley of the sun race? I'm interested in how a Jr teammate is fairing relative to the field.

I do not think so, other than txt, but I'm trying really hard to not even pay attention that my son is (hopefully) warming up right now and may not have his number as expertly glued as I do and that wheel may not be in correctly and the brakes... I really can't stand this.

Team went 1,2,3. Daniel, Imeh, Bo
All the best USA juniors (and a few Euros) were here/there except Gage and teammate Brandon doing Pro, 1.

I had not seen Daniel do anything since his mechanical in Germany last July until this last Tue (training) where he had little problem holding 28-30 on his road bike.
My biggest concern was forgetting something / or another mechanical. Now he can have fun in the RR and Crit. He is very much bigger than last year and not at all peaked for that distance - rowing and all.
Not a race - this was Tues:
