One climb at the end of a race suits Simoni's explosive style. A sustained day with lots of climbing and descending seems to suit Salvodelli more. I think he will hold on to it. That being said, if anyone in the peloton can pull off a huge victory in the mountains, it would be Simoni. Regardless, it will be exciting. This is one of the best Giro's I've ever seen.
Pity about poor Basso. If he's come back that strong, imagine what he could have done if he would have stayed healthy. I hope he saves enough to be competitive in the Tour this year.
