Finding the course

Just for fun:
How many of you have had to resort to off-beat tactics to find the race course?

Here's my example:
Driving around Lima Ohio holding a worthless map and looking for haybails/orange cones, we finally stopped at the fire department and asked them where their ambulance was.
They sent us straight to the course.

HAHA. Never had to do that. Got lost a few times *cough*School of Mines*cough* looking for courses. I'll always remember driving around Golden, Co. With no directions at all. All we knew (there were 2 cars) was that the crit was by the Budweiser plant. Yeah. If you've ever been to Golden, theres basically Bud crap everywhere. Turns out the crit was way outside of the city and actually pretty far away from anything related to Budweiser. Thank you.....

I have a bad tendency of blindly following cars with USCF stickers and roof racks...

I sometimes drive and drive and drive hoping to find the course... sometimes the industrial crits are a PITA to find!

Yeah, you're gonna have a hard time finding a Bud brewery in Golden! They've got the monster Coors brewery but no Bud!

As have I. However, if the directions are wrong on the flyer or website, a parade of cars with bikes on their roofs looking for an elusive turnoff occurs.

Why in the world were you looking for Budweiser when Golden is home to COORS? Just found that odd.
