I need some good race advice. my first ABR sanctioned race is 67 miles
I train 30mi at 1hr 40min and 50mi at 2hr30min.
I need to know what to expect, what to be ready for, how to get ready, and the 10 million dollar question is how do I make sure that all my bikes components i.e. pedals, shoes,seat and areo bars are sized and adjusted to me correctly **********?

is it comfortable? if not, go to a bike shop and get fitted, that's how you tell.
What to expect - fast pace, hard work, total exhaustion, lots of fun. 67miles is a long way for your first race, what category is this for? Is it a hilly race or flat? Is ABR the place running it?

If this is a road race, i wouldn't worry about the aero bars.

Sorry to be blunt, but you're probably not ready. Before participating in a 67 mile road race, one usually has a bit more experience and knowledge (not to mention a properly-fit bike!) than you seem to have.
Go ahead and make the best of it, but don't expect to place. Make it a learning experience, and form lots of questions.

^^ No that is totally realistic. Just go out and do it. If you are not riding 80-100 mile training rides then you are not ready for a 67 mile race but who cares just go do it. You never know you may have a natural gift for racing you may get dropped but there is only one way to find out. But I think most people on this board that have been racing and riding for years will agree that if your bike is not yet set up then chances are your going to have a tough time in the race. But still go for it...

Most road races around here for cat 5 are no more than 40 miles, most are arounf 30. I have heard that many road races are also around 20 in places in the US. Of course our road races tend to have lots of climbing...
