    Howdy

I was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much this bike costs in America? i'm from Australia and am going over to the US shortly. Does Supergo sell this bike still, as they use to specialise in Specialized!! Now they don't advertise the price over the internet.

Also i was wondering if anyone has any opinions on the difference between the Allez comp and allez comp Cro Mo, (other than the fact that they are different matterials). Riding experiences, tests etc.

Any suggestions for bikes for $1600-1700 US BRAND NEW!???

    Cheers

    Simon

MSRP in the US is $2400 and I am pretty sure my shop sells them for $2160.

Really i didn't think they were that much. On www.roadbikereview.com the average price is $1630. However i'm not sure where abouts that is in the world. OK then, what would be the best bike to get from the states for around $1600-1700?

    SUGGESTIONS???

Yea that review is for the 2004 model. In 05 the Comp is now the top of the Allez line as there is no Pro model. The 05 Comp gets Dura Ace 10s components (mixed with some Ultegra as you can see) where the 04 was Ultegra 9 speed. It also adds a CF seat stay.

As for the best bike for $1700 in the US well it would depend on what fits you and what you want to odo with it. There is the Allez Elite for $1100 retail ($990 normal price) with 105 and then you could do some upgrading. Or for $1700 there is the Allez Comp CrMo which is speced like the 04 Allez (Ultegra 9) and has a Columbus Foco steel frame (would be my choice over Al for everyday riding). That is just the stuff from Specialized, of course there are a ton of other bikes out there. Fujis seem to be VERY good deals.
