My understanding is that it is a political thing.
Threshold Sports repeatedly asked for an invoice and was ignored. Then in a political move the SFO city council inssued them an invoice, back dated it, and called it past due. Thus pissing Threshold Sports off.
It had to do with an internal power play between the mayor and the city council.
So their power play robs us out of a great event.
Dont know how true the story is but I have heard of much worse coming out of a city council.

I hope they can work things out. That race was one of the funnest domestic races to watch. I'd love to do it someday.
