Here in south Louisiana, specifically in the town of St. Francisville located in the picturesque area north or our state capitol, Baton Rouge, an annual event called BikeFest is being held this weekend. It is a family-oriented fun time of road races, fun rides and some mountain biking. Yesterday (Saturday) a bad crash in the men's Cat 5 road race left one participant in the hospital with very serious head injuries. Keep him in your thoughts and remember that even helmets can't protect us from everything.
