There is a good chance I might be there.

About Mike Creed, I watched him get pummeled in a crit in Austin. Two local guys thrashed him in a break away. Funniest 45 mins of my life.

I get the feeling that being a euro pro racing back in the us makes you a bit of a marked man. I think that unless you were head and shoulders above the competition, it'd be real hard to win in a USCF race wearing a discovery channel jersey.

Ya he was, and he looked pretty damn good too.

On another note, this was one of the best stage races for us mere mortals that was put on last year. Freakin awesome. Just don't forget your bug repellent.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. We are moving the TT to a drier and higher location so the bugs MIGHT not be as bad as they were last year. That area out west of town is flood irrigated and frequented by lots of critters (other than cyclists) offering food for the moquitoes. TT is also easier to get to than last year with much better parking situation. One more feed zone for the RR. Slightly better prizes than last year too! We are learning more each year about putting on this stage race and hope to add quality each year. Hope to have the race bible up on the website within next few weeeks. Check out the pics and profile of the new TT course at deaddogclassic.com.

Hey RockyMtn, sounds like a party. I might just make it. I have a few relatives who live in Laramie. Never new there was much of a bike scene though.

Pretty active for a town that only has 29,000 people! I am biased but in the summer and fall we have some of the best road riding around. Pretty windy in spring and tooth rattling cold most of the winter. Good roads and little traffic. Lots of climbing if want it or not if you don't. I can do a 86 mile ride from my house (2 stop signs to my start point at a park west of town in the truck) 3200 feet of climbing, two stop signs, no stop lights. Elevation is a bit cruel to lowlanders (town is 7200 feet) with climbs to 10,800 feet. Dead Dog has been around for 18 years more or less. Got a lot bigger last year when we switched from USCF to ACA affiliation. Come on out and have a good ride or two.
