NYC spring series

It just dawned on me how close the racing season is. It also just dawned on me how unprepaired I am. I've been bikeless for the past couple of months. I finally got my bike built when someone decided it was winter again, without asking me first. I'm in no shape for racing but I think I'll show up anyway. I figure I'd have to try pretty hard to make an ass of myself, I hear the cat5 feild is quite a spectacle.

So who else from BF is gonna be there?

Too much of a hassle to get down there. My first races are going to be the Johnny Cake Series up in Coxackie.

even the cat5 races can be pretty fast... consider training for endurance for a couple of months then start racing in june or july. It's a long season anyway, march - september.

cat 5's can range from really slow to pretty damn quick. most of the riders are afraid to be anywhere near the front so it can come down to a few people driving up the pace if they feel like it. i assume with the mild winter we've had there will be quite a few people in pretty good shape by now. i'm doing the march 26th race in PP as my first for the season.
