Where is everyone going to watch this?
I am thinking Bailey hill but I am not sure where I could park.

That profile just looks mean. Two climbs right off the bat with very little reward till after the midway point. Sounds be a fun one to watch, and you all don't forget your cameras to post pics for those of us who can't.

Awesome how bad Floyd smoked 'em all in the TT. I'm way pulling for Floyd in the TDF. How freakin' AWESOME would it be to have a "Floyd" win the Tour? Almost as good as a "Fred."

My daughter is off from school this week, so we drove down to the Boat Launch at Calero Reservoir (this was as far as the police would let us go). We rode our bikes and decided to camp ourselves about 500 meters from the top of the grade on McKean Rd., just past the Cinnabar Hills Golf Course. We had this stretch of road all to ourselves. The weather was gorgeous - sunny skies, temps around 60-62 degrees, almost no wind.
We got to see some of the riders reconnoitering the course before the TT. Chris Horner and another rider from Lotto-Davitamon cruised by. Chris recognized our team kit from when he raced for Webcor Builders a couple of years ago and said "Hey, Webcor!" as he rode past. Actually, this was probably the high point of the day.
After the race we rode back to the car and drove the time trial course. The descent on Willow Springs Rd looks like it would be treacherous with a full disc wheel on the back.

I think it's going to be hard for Levi to catch Floyd after today. I'd say his only real chance may be to get off the front on the climb over San Marcos pass. I'd be really surprised to see if Phonak or CSC lets him out of their sight. I've voted for Levi to win, but I'm just as happy to see the US cyclists doing so well.

Hey guys, I was there today at the finish line cheering on all the riders for the finishing dash. Really one of the best experiences of my life being there, and I must've been starstruck at least thirty times. I got tons of autographs that I can now show off to my friends .

The more I learn about Floyd, the more I like him (sort of the inverse of Lance). It would be nice if Levi were to win as he worked hard to promote the ToC, but I am very happy for Floyd and will root for him to keep the jersey.

Is it just me or were they taking those hills somewhat easy? Might be just because I'm seeing it on TV and not descending those hills (Menal note, bring my bike there). Although I would imagine it takes way more skill to descend those hills on a TT bike with a disk back wheel.

The b-ball game totally ruined me yesterday... when I arrived home from work, I put on stage 2 to the irritation of my wife (who wanted to watch Oprah), and hoped against hope that maybe I'd only miss the closing ceremonies/lame clif bar crap. As the peloton neared the sprint and the riders were positioning to let loose the big guns, TIVO "beep-boop"ed and alerted me that the recording had ended.
^&%*!!!
As the TIVO beep echoed in my now chaos filled mind, it was joined by another sound, a sound that will haunt my nightmares for evenings to come--- the slow and deliberate cackling of my wife.

So, I think they are very similar but Floyd does seem more likable. Hincapie is probably more like an inverse Lance. Regardless, I would love to see them both place in top 5 at the TDF and after yesterday's ride, it looks like Floyd will win the TDC.

So with these scheduling misshaps...does someone have a full digitized version of this stage? I like others did not account for ESPN's weirdness and got that last part cutoff b/c my time recording ended early.
