11/14/02 Pro Road Race Worlds on OLN

OK, OLN has been building us up the last two weeks with the Time Trial and the Women's Elite. Tomorrow night the men's pro. The women's race was great to watch except for all the crashes! I felt really bad for those who went down.

Thanks Rainman,
Everytime I get all cranked up to watch the worlds
it's been something other than what I want to watch.
Time Trials were ok, I've been waiting for the road.
Watching cycling goes really well with 2 fingers single malt

Did OLN have separate shows for each race? CBC showed the worlds in an hour and a half, but it was mostly the elite races, highlights of the time trials and no junior races. Still it was fun to watch, better than no coverage at all.

Marty, do you have a favorite brand or region? I'm getting the idea we have enough single malt fanciers to start a subforum!

Velo, I have both the time trial and the women's elite on tape. After I put the pro men's race on there tonight I will send it to you, if you don't mind an hour leadin of CMT Crossroads with the Dixie Chicks and James Taylor.

Wabbit, yes, they had three separate 1-hour segments on the pro men's time trial, women's elite, and pro mens' road race. I didn't realize they were doing it that way either.

LOL, like those tapes Lotek sent us, with 'american shooter' as a lead in for one of the races. And one of them had a show before about poisonous spiders and snakes!

It's nice to see what else we are missing on OLN canada, LOL.

Well the American Shooter was OLN but I'd bet the
snakes and spiders was Discovery or Nat. Geo.

Rainman,
I like Glenmorangie 18 year old, but any of their singles
is nice. Brother and Father swear by Glenfiddich but I don't
really like it. I've had Glenturret (sp?) and its REALLY smooth.
FWIW I think scotch goes with flyfishing more than cycling.
For cycling (road) a good lager or stout goes down
nicely...
