Bathroom needs while racing a century?

I know that in Europe, when riders need to urinate, they just pull off to the side of the pelotan and urinate as their bike still keeps rolling. Does anyone know if this type of activity is sanctioned or happens in the US?

And then there was the time that Greg Lemond had, um, serious intestinal distress on his way to winning the Tour de France.

Puh-leeeez, don't practice this manuever during a century!

If you're doing a century in warm weather, just let it flow man. Will all the sweat, nobody will notice. Kind of like peeing in a wetsuit.

The above advice is only if you think you have a shot at winning. If you aren't going to win or at least place, you might as well get off your bike and find a bush ~

A century isn't a race.

Unless it's a 100 mile race, in which case it would not be called a century.

And, if you were at a level to be racing that far, you would know what to do.

So, just ask the group to wait up a minute, or slow down a bit, and go about your business and then let you catch up. Not a big deal.

What does 'racing a century' mean? This sounds like a Fred Thread Booby Trap.

External catheter, sold for use at Mardi Gras. Just run the tubing down to the BB.

Yeah, races don't have lunch stops every 20 miles, or people with helmet mirrors...

I saw a local racer doing it in a Seagull Century paceline 2 weeks ago. I was a couple riders back and to the left. It was at the start and we were warming up and going slow at the time.

I was impressed.

I'm going to work on that skill for next season.

You know how bibs are cut low around your belly? Pull down till youre "in the wind" then releave yourself

Thats why they are cut low in that area.
