I just wish there were more deatils. All I know is the finish order of the top 6 or so and DZ's time...did he crush the others? Did Levi and Floyd make up any time on George or just clip him by a couple of seconds? Gilbert held the GC but by how much and over who?

The results on cycling news say Floyd finished 53 seconds () behind DZ. Next in line was Levi at 1:16 and Hincapie at 1:34. Only 7 people finished within 2 minutes of Dave. I thought he was good but, jeez, that is ridiculously good.

Edit: Doh! Make that 7 people not 6.

Best news for us is that tomorrow will be a REAL test for those claiming to be climbers. The weather looks perfect. Near the base of the mountain it is forecast to be a high of 75F and sunny. Winds were only about 10 mph today.

Z was 5 minutes or so down on Gilbert prior to the ITT.

The Tour implications are not good for Levi, Landis put a solid 23+ seconds on him and with the way Floyd's climbing Levi's got a lot of work ahead of him. Tomorrow will be a big day no doubt. I won't be surprised to see some names on the top of the Tour TT time sheets that aren't Ulrich and Basso. I can see DZ, David Millar, Cancellara (sp) ahead of both of those guys.

Dzs the shiznit.. Lets see if his climbing form has improved.. Looks like he put some serious hurt into floyd who had pipped him in a couple of the early season TTs..

I read a Levi interview where he almost seemed resigned to the prospect that he might not even make the podium.. Kinda strange..

When he was interviewed after the prologue he made it sound like that's what he was getting prepped for. I may be wrong but I think he's definately on the roster for Le Tour.

Vino's got bigger worries than just his form. His team is possibly going to be excluded from the Tour. LeBlanc would like nothing more but he has to wait to see if the UCI is going to yank Wurth's license or not.

Kinda wonder, whether Vino's problem was in part motivational for the reasons you state.

Considering so much of a good TT is mental, yeah I would guess he's more than just a bit distracted. I hate that there is doping allthough I've come to accept it as part of the sport, but man couldn't they just have waited until August 1 to bust Saiz! As a fan, dope or no dope, this was going to be just an epic Tour.

In this interview he says its up to the DS to announce it, and he's not saying he's in, just that he hopes he's in.

I read that interview too. Basically said he's hoping for top 5 but podium is a longshot. Levi has no chance, and as fun as Vino is to watch, he doesn't have the goods, Seguros or no Seguros.
