Ulrich/Hamilton

If Ulrich went to CSC would it hurt Tyler chances in the tour?

Yes. Decidedly. He would be playing a role similar to the one Roberto Heras plays for U.S. Postal. These guys get a lot of T.V. time and usually finish fairly high in the G.C., but after they take a long pull up the mountains they are generally instructed to "sit up" and cruise it in so they can do it again the next day. They usually are asked to not go 100% in the early individual time trials as well. Heras was given a little more free reign last year than is typical because they thought he could get (and earned) a stage win. Too bad it didn't pan out.

They could let Hamilton have the team at his disposal for the Vuelta though.
