Quote of the day from Dave Z

From pezcycling news,

Question - "The first stage goes from Sausalito to Santa Rosa. The hill profile looks like a real ***** to us, but a pro rider told me that’s it’s basically a flat day for you guys. Is that a flat day?

Dave Z: Well, flat is flat, obviously. It’s not like a mountain day, that’s for sure. A mountain day is like 15 or 16 thousand feet of climbing…that’s a lot."

Indeed that is a lot.

Just remember, he gets paid to be strong enough to make remarks like that.

I agree. That course would saw our legs off, but they rolled over it quite easily.

It's another reason why the Amgen Tour is a popular place for these guns to start the season.

I think Z's wife might be his high school sweetheart. She is a looker for sure. See attached pic shot before final stage of Tour of California in Redondo Beach last year. All these ladies posing with Bobby Julich were Davey Z's entourage, Zabriskie had already slipped away to avoid the attention I think. Their shirts all said "Zabriskie" on the back.

Some guys see anything skinny and blonde and think "HOT!"
She is okay, but overall, doesn't do much for me.

Dave Z. Rocks nonetheless.
