What's your plan of attack? Where do you plan on watching from? I assume start/finish would be best but I'm also guessing it will be packed. Where do you park down there?

Me.
I'm planning to see it around the finish/start area, I assume they will have a big screen showing the race. I have no idea where to park, etc.

I'd park at the old Long Beach Mall and walk there. Shoreline Village would be best but I bet that will be the first place to fill up. Also, the Catalina Landing just up the road. This spot is connected to shoreline by a bike path. You could get a room at the Long Beach Hilton for one or two bills and just walk there. The Aquarium is also very close. I've never visited it so I'm not sure about parking but I would imagine some is available there too.

Hi,
I'll be watching from wherever they put me as my wife and I and some clubmates as we have volunteered as course marshals. I'll also be doing the Cat. 3 race earlier in the morning on the "short" course.
IMHO, if you're not near start / finish where you can hear the announcers then you should be near the turnaround on Ocean Ave. You'll get to see them for a bit linger and they'll be going a bit slower. Otherwise you'll get to see them twice anywhere along Ocean except that they'll be going 30+ MPH when they go by.
