Dave Z taken to hospital!?
A brief report from cyclingnews.com says that he was in the crash and taken to the hospital. Anyone have more details?

WTH is cyclingnews doing posting race news without checking to see if all their readers had watched the race yet? What do they think they are, a website about bike racing or something?

Heck, since the race had been finished for quite some time I did not believe that my post would be a spoiler. You really didn't think, by the way, that Dave Z would win today did you?

clearly, this is not a spoiler. remember last year in the tour when thor hushovd was taken to the hospital after finishing the sprint? maybe dave was sprinting for the line and got sliced by a foam finger that says "dz is my president" and had to get stitches

FWIW, I knew it was coming and the carnage was still quite impressive.

Oh and there just happened to be another guy on his team who within weeks also found out he at one point had a twin brother that died in the womb and was absorbed into his body....
It is just coincidence that they were both on the most cheating team int he peloton in recent years.

DZ was in the pile up - VS reported that he had a head injury, but nothing about a wrist. Anyway, there was quite a bit of blood, scuffs & uniform tears in that group when they finished.

zabriskie was not in the main pile up.. his crash was earlier.
from velonews "Coming down the other side, BMC's first-year pro Scott Nydam and CSC's Dave Zabriskie went down. The CSC rider hit his head on the pavement, and went to the hospital. He was later released after X-rays found no serious damage."

Keep in mind that most people don't get to watch the race until 10:00 pm on VS.
