Nice pics!

If the shot of Jens was a close up or clearer (let no great work go unquestioned..).

Absolutely magnificent shots. I hope you don't mind that I grabbed the top one as a wallpaper. Chris is smiling like he's just out for a spin down to the local coffee shop. I was pulling hard for him, but I couldn't be too upset that Jens pulled it out. All three of those guys rode like champs.

Check out Tom Danielson's eyes in the close-up shot. I might be mistaken, but aren't the whites of his eyes supposed to be... white (not that dark pink color)? My guess is that his allergies were killing him up in those hills.

We had a lot of rain a couple of weeks ago and then a week of warm temps so all sort of stuff is blooming. Wouldn't surprise me at all that he's suffering from allergies. And you probably can't take a benadryl for fear of failing your doping test.

I know my allergies have been kicking in over the past week, so if Tommy D has (as the commercials like to say) "seasonal allergies" it could sure be kicking him in the nuts right about now.

From the velonews.com ticker:

10:36 AM By the way . . .
. . . if you're wondering why Tom Danielson had an especially strained look on his face in that Graham Watson photo from yesterday's stage report, it wasn't just the rigors of the Sierra Road climb. "I picked up some kind of food poisoning yesterday," Danielson told senior writer Neal Rogers this morning. I just couldn't go. But I feel better today, and I hope to ride for Levi and show I'm a good teammate."

I live and train in that area so I can speak from personal experience. Livermore/Pleasanton/Sunol and the surrounding areas are terrible for allergies/asthma! I went through it about 2 1/2 years ago when I first moved to the area. Took about a year to get used to it. Now I'm fine. Some of my family members have allergy trouble when they visit and they've never had allergies before - it's just when they come to livermore/pleasanton they go nuts form all the pollen and crap that gets dumped down here due to wind patterns and other stuff
