Just built ready to be put away until next season...

Will tweak the front end but should be spot on. As I get more flexibility back the front end should drop a fair bit.

With some tubs on-

You found one...
Nice

echappist 11-14-13 01:26 PM

Thanks. Nice thing was that it (NOS) cost less than most used framesets.

Look 695. Only about 100 miles on it. What an upgrade from my 10 year old Trek.

Didn't want to start a new thread, and I can't really tell from a lot of these pics, but what brand cockpits are most of you running? I am thinking of finally upgrading my Bontrager cockpit but have no idea what are mid-tier/upper-tier cockpit brands.

I've got Deda bars (RHM01) on three of my four bikes, and Deda stems on two of them. That's definitely mid tier. :) Bar tape on three of them is 3T, due to the fact that I got it on a three for $20 deal.

Ygduf 11-14-13 09:04 PM

zipp vuka sprint bars. +++

I hear specialized has a version now that is half the cost. Maybe look into that.

shovelhd 11-14-13 09:11 PM

3t.

rkwaki 11-14-13 09:59 PM

Shimano Pro Vibe track stem
Shimano Pro Vibe 7S bars
Lizard Skin tape (which I am not a fan of, Fizik Microtex is better)

Heres mine.it's intended to be a near- replica of what robbie hunter used in the 2009 giro.
some changes since I took this photo, having changed the fit slightly . stem is now slammed with a FSA K force to match the crank and seatpost, and I've changed the saddle as well. Hoods are still a mismatched black/white.

2013 Cannondale Supersix EVO

This bike treated me very very well in its first year of duty

What is it doing hanging on a wall outside a prison?

dnuzzomueller 11-17-13 10:27 AM

Do you have the patented Chris King beehive installed in the rear hub aswell?

carpediemracing 11-17-13 11:20 AM

I was going to ask about how you deal with corrosion storing the bike outside :)

On the other hand it looks like a well thought out bike.

carpediemracing 11-17-13 11:23 AM

My bike after I rode yesterday. I think it's been about 3 years since I rode that front wheel and about 2 seasons since I rode that rear. I tried to line up the tires with the bottom of the screen/phone so that the bike would be level in the picture.

This is a "before" picture. I'll be installing a different stem/bar in the next few weeks I hope.

furiousferret 11-17-13 03:33 PM

Some sweet bikes this page; that C'dale and Bianchi are nice; I'd be afraid to race em.

CDR, what kind of crank is that?

^ what he said. It came stock on a "team replica" Cannondale SystemSix in 2008, the bike I originally bought.

It has a Praxis 53T and an "I-forget-the-brand" 44T tandem inner ring.

Some fitment things I need to handle, like the washers that allow the cage to clear the front derailleur clamp. I can't find them and I haven't bothered going out and buying a couple washer things. So for now just one cage, and screws in the second cage's holes so water doesn't build up at the bottom of the seat tube.

Since most of my rides are under 2 hours outside or they take place on a trainer I rarely need more than a bottle. In the summer I'll carry two bottles or more.

Although not necessarily a good thing I didn't touch the bottle on that ride (about an hour in about 55 deg weather).

Crash716 11-23-13 02:53 PM

technically its a race bike.

Only a race bike if it's raced

the clock has started on that. First one here in another week or two. I am a crit racer and came from a motorcross background but I am still scared to death to race cross. Just going to go out there and have fun.
