Had a set of those for a season or so. They were great. The only downer was that the rear hub sounded like a lawn mower. No sneaking up on anyone with them.

lol's ... what's wrong with logos? was this real world grief or bikeforums grief?

Impressions: They are super loud. Louder than my old Campy Centaur hubs, louder than the Novatec hubs on my tubulars. Yes, like a lawn mower.
Stiff and light for such a tall rim. And yeah, I'm not crazy about the decals. I was hoping they were just peel off, but there seems to be a clearcoat, and if I decided to sell them down the road I might as well keep them on.

Williams has a decal set that you can put over them that basically makes the logo gloss black on the matte black rim. Seemed a bit over the top, but they're out there.

I just changed one of those freehub bodies. They're super loud because they're stout! lots of pawls and lots of ratchets!

That makes sense. Engagement seems instantaneous.

Seat to be replaced by new more padded model. Bars have gel under the tape. These are with the light wheels. Weighs about 14.2 this config. I found a lead sinker to put in the seat tube to get up to UCI weight.

My last Cannondale was a Caad9 in that paint scheme; nice.

What bars are you running on the new bike and how do you like them? I'm ditching my ergo bars and am thinking of going for shallow drops like I have on the beater.

Ygduf 03-31-15 01:38 PM

ritchey wcs - couldn't tell you which ones, but if you look at pics it's one of the curve versions...

We Repair Carbon Bike Frames | Fix Cracks & Paint Damage

Rides exactly the same as before. Up close, top layer of repair has a 3k carbon weave for decoration.

The above company is a local mom & pop operation. Literally. Worked with pop for the repair, mom came down to the basement to say hello. They do solid work.
