I've only had one 40 minute trainer ride on it so far. I've had the bike for a couple of weeks, but had to order the Pavé seatpost after the bike came in because the stock one isn't compatible with the 7mm x 9mm carbon rails on the Chicane. Team ride tomorrow, so I'll get about three hours on it and will be better able to answer.

Nice bike. The two things I would not like are the proprietary headset and the mid compact crank. You'll see the SRM light soon, and headsets are cheap, just stock a spare just in case. Have fun, new bikes are great.

I think I've posted it here before, but she's just days away from being relegated to a disassembled and undetermined future. Got me from cat 5 to 4, and now that I'm putting in for my cat 3 upgrade I decided to order a new bike. I'll be racing on it this weekend, then I'm selling most of the parts and holding onto the frame.

I've got a few hundred miles on it now, and I like it enough that I ordered another to go on my Look. It's replacing a San Marco Regale. They're similarly shaped, but the Chicane is better padded and has a central cutout the Regale lacks.

Nice S2, I have the same bike, crank and power meter (I think.) Mine is 11sp 105. Carbon clinchers are my next purchase. I'm on the fence about whether or not I'll install an aero drop bar.

Definitely go with the aero drop bar! I've seen a couple tests that show a pretty decent advantage to using those over traditional bars

seriously P-R-O looking bike. you must have a good 15 cm of drop at what i'd presume to be height of 5'10" or something? impressive
btw, what computer mount are you using?

12cm of drop, 5'6". Long legs are a blessing. It's a Barfly 2.0, cheap and works well. No complaints about it.
Taken up at the Chantry Flats helipad in the San Gabriel Mountains. Most likely doing my first race tomorrow, hopefully crash 5 doesn't live up to it's nickname...

The Hot-r-Not guys gave it little love. Hopefully the racers are more understanding.

I would've gone with blacked-out wheel decals, but I think I remember you saying that Mercury is a sponsor, so that would negate that idea. Other than that, Chuckie like!

Might remove the stickers. Mercury is not a sponsor anymore, but I like the company and the equipment and am happy to fly their flag when we can.

FWIW, I disagree. The wheel stickers work well with the red/black/white colour scheme, particularly with the white highlights on the seat tube, seat stays and fork. I mean, the bike is mostly black to start with, not sure blacked out wheels are going to add anything.
