So what happened to the Discovery boys today? Why did Levi and Alberto and Tom let those 19 seconds slip away? Maybe they were satisfied with Tomas being up there near the front?

They're not worried.
Race doesn't start until the race to the airport above Mende on Thursday. 19 seconds is nothing....the gaps will be minutes.
Anyone who saw the stage finish at le Tour 95 will remember Melchor Mauri and Jaja owning that day.....quatorze juillet as well!

So here's why some of the Disco boys did not react to the break and lost time. "Alberto Contador and myself were well positioned in the downhill preceding the difficult finish in town, he explained. But a Française des Jeux rider crashed (actually, it was Ag2r's Samuel Dumoulin - ed.) in front of us. We got stacked behind and we could never see the front of the bunch; that's how we missed the split." Tom Danielson quoted in cyclingnews.com

Here's the plan today, "Discovery Channel is setting the pace now. They'll want to bring down the gap before the last climb and put Levi Leipheimer and Alberto Contador in a perfect position." From cyclingnews.com live coverage of today's stage 4. We'll see how well the plan works pretty soon.

Looks like Contador got the win, but how did Rebellin jump over him into the overall lead if they were tied at 12 seconds back after stage 3? Contador beat Rebellin by 2 seconds to the finish, then count the bonus times, how is Rebellin 6 seconds ahead of Contador?
