    Italy races?

Why are there not any larger races in Italy? Since all the great bikes and racers came from Italy I would think there would be more. All these big tours are in France...when was the last time they one a race?

Milan San Remo, Tour of Lombardy. When is the last time "they" (Italians?) won a race? I believe the current world champion is Italian.

    Should cover it.

Tirreno-Adriatico is a pretty big race...

And it's currently going on. Cyclingnews.com, and the internet in general, is your friend. Seriously.

The UCI web site lists 75* races categorized as either 1.2,1.2,2.1, or 2.2. How many do you want
Thats only UCI events, and doesn't include the races taking place most days somewhere in Italy. Don't know what you mean by larger races, but to me that means any races with a number of pros riding them.

    *Counting could be slightly out
I grew up as a kid idolising those hero's in the Tour de France, Indurain and everyone like that. It was almost a childhood dream to ride the Tour de France. The last 2 years my childhood dream which became a reality has been pissed all over by certain members of the peloton. - Bradley Wiggins 27th July 2007.
