The question is: how much more black could it be? And the answer is none. None more black.

and i doubt it's a Richard Serra etching...

Nope, you got me.

Hmmmm... is it the void where your sense of humor used to be, or perhaps a portrait of your heart?

Thanks. I'll keep her in my thoughts when I'm going into the final miles, wishing I had more base.

It's definitely a McCollum.

It looks like the last column, second from the top.

I think you may have missed the point of Allan McCollum's work.

And what would the point be? Maximum return from marginal talent and minimal effort?

out of curiosity, what is a "Binary logician"?

i'll avoid making any ignorant comments about that profession for the time being.

perhaps you can reciprocate, and avoid uninformed comments about artists whom you most likely know nothing about?

You're right. I work with computers, and I don't "get it". I bet I'm so thick and stupid that all attempts at explanation will fail to cultivate my appreciation. I'm one of those unimaginative louts who sees much of modern art and always gets to thinking "the Emperor has no clothes".

Feel free to like what you will, but don't think you're entitled to suppress me expressing my opinion. I try not to do it to others, and I trust you'll extend the same courtesy to me.

Cheers,

Z

you're more than entitled to your opinion, however uninformed it may be.

This argument makes me want to put on a black turtleneck, grow a pony tail, smoke some Gitanes cigarettes, and read some bad poetry at a coffeee-house.
