And, my saddle height is fine. My leg is almost 90 degrees from the bottom of the stroke in the picture... |

Early Bird Crit #3 (Cat 5 U30)

I can finally contribute to this thread. :D
Same crit as above, but I opted for the juniors' race as opposed to the U30 Cat5. That means I stayed at the front of the group the entire time instead of getting lapped. A lot. http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/7660/img1252j.jpg SRV kit. 679. |

...I think I can, I think I can... 2009 Masters C state championship. I'm the Fred in the rear with the steel bike, the hairy legs and the helmet mirror, following my teammate Royce up the final wall climb along with a third rider (not in this shot). Royce and I had four teammates in the peleton, and with the cooperation of the third guy in the break, we held them off for the last 25 miles of the race. Both Royce and I were getting leg cramps (it was hot), so yes I was suffering whether the photo shows that or not :D Royce continued to throw down until total leg lock-up, leaving it up to me to try for a win for our team, which I managed by less than a wheel: http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/f...hip_sprint.png I'm not very experienced as a road racer, but I had one solid piece of advice from a teammate: don't let up until after you cross the Finish line. Good advice :) |

I'm third wheel. I countered this and rode away solo for the last two laps. |

and where is that?
Anza? Ocotillo? Palm Springs? |
That's the Borrego Springs road about 5 miles outside of town. I think there were about 30 people (a few 3's and the rest 4/5) that day.

Speaking of random attacks:
http://sacpictures.smugmug.com/Cycli..._beDD7-L-1.jpg Whenever it felt like it was slowing and I thought I had the legs, I went. http://sacpictures.smugmug.com/Cycli..._FLcek-L-1.jpg |

Since it's -21C here today, there are no new pics to post but I have a couple of my last TT (2nd ever for me) that hurt me badly.
First pic is at the start, the second just before the finish. Passed the guy in front of me and was trying to stay there (even though I know I beat him by at least 30 sec, its a mental thing to stay in front. I still did poorly mind you! |

Missed the break, more frustration than suffering as a pack of 85 guys included only 4 that wanted to work.
