I still point out the time when I crashed warming up at a race and when gary made fun of me. It was funny.

And from the fact that he posted the picture here, I'm guessing he wasn't hurt and thinks it's funny too.

Oh, I could show you some of the courses here.. The old downtown Gainesville crit has poorly laid cobbles that have 1/2" raises in them. Lots of fun.

That race was crazy...I should have stayed in bed. We had Thunder & Lightening, with streaming water washing debris onto the course.

We had some flash flooding and pooling in one the corners which helped cause a big crash.

I'll race in the rain, but not when it's cold out...though I was admittely under-dressed.

That's the one around my neck under the skinsuit. I don't use my brain very much anyway, so no need to waste blood flow and oxygen up there.

Alsatian Road Race M40+. This was in the winning break, which went from 12 down to 7. Our retro kits were designated for the day...

Anyone think this little guy might have been getting a good draft?

A teammate and I were the only 3s in this break. He got 2nd overall!

This was the last time I was able to cover any moves... cramps hit

Teammate made the split up the road, so I get to tailgun

I love seeing all these pictures. These are the faces I look for of people around me before I make an attack. Hopefully this season there will be fewer times that happens with my face on the pavement like my previous post. Best of luck to everyone racing. Funny how people say that racing criteriums is stupid though. They are very exciting and fun. After the crash I got to finish the race on a new Tarmac

Now we know you crashed on purpose!

I once tried to fake a crash to get some Zipps. The mechanics just laughed at me...

How did the crash happen? Just the surface change?

Yeah, Patrick. Really nice guy, and just moved to Austin, across the street from my office. He's a Cat 1 who hasn't touched his bike much in the last 3 months. We met him when doing 2x20s in his neighborhood and he asked if he could draft us for the 2nd one. Then, one week later, he and I are in the winning break together in two consecutive races.

So, we go "way back" now
