Full length, 3.4 miles according to the flyer. That hill was steep and basically a full sprint each lap. Then sort of winding and rolling, exposed to the wind and lots of zig zag turns. Made for a tough race. Not to mention it was 105+ F out there on that black asphalt... a couple of place where you're going uphill w a slight tailwind and there was just. no. air.

Anyway, I raced well but had no result to show for it. Had fun anyway.

Credit goes to Jtheskier (Or probably more accurately his wife). A fellow Bostonian (area) rider. Thank you guys for getting a picture of my exquisite suffering.

Giro di SF from Monday.

In this one I decided "zomg that's the move!!" and decided to try to bridge.. (I'm the blurry one in between the groups)

Later on I see another move I want to be in, so I'm all "wait THAT'S the move!!" For some reason the tongue comes out when really suffering:

Photos by the great Alex Chiu. I'll be buying a few later today!

More pics from the 1/2's here.

haha... if anything, I should probably slide the saddle back a few MM. I've been meaning to do this but in the end didn't want to do it right before the race. It's a pretty big bike. I think it's just a funny angle?

You don't adjust fore/aft fit with the saddle.

That Jens picture doesn't capture the size of the bike. Bad Angle.

Well pjcampbell I can say you looked fine when I saw you riding that thing. Angle is everything. Makes campbell's bike look to small and Jen's bike look fine. Surprised no one has commented on your numbers. One guy said to me during Stage 2 "That guy's numbers are aero as f***"

Battling wicked cramping in Offthebackistan. Attempting to empty the tanks for last 2km.

Still trying to have fun, but the suffering was definitely there.
