Are the jerseys and helmet colors the differentiating kit components for elite (P12?) vs non-elite (everyone else?)?

Kit design has changed - luckily the all-orange kits are gone! Black and orange was a few years ago, back in the @Ygduf era.

It's confusing, but our 3/4/5's wear blue & black kits. "Elite" (masters & 1/2's) wear black kits with pink/blue accents.

And don't get me started on how we're calling a 46 year-old cat 3 an "elite" rider...

basically, mattm is an elitist snob who doesnt want to have to wear the same kit as the unworthy proles who happen to be associated with the same sponsors as him.

From the Hawaii Epilepsy Foundation 50K - Finished First with a 1:18 / almost 21MPH. It was also my birthday, everything was awesome.

I smile a lot in races

Working for my teammate who got third. He was whispering sweet nothings... I mean shouting instructions at me. It was actually super helpful as I tend to stop thinking about what I'm doing when going hard.

Oh hey, I want in on this, so here are a couple more from last fall. Courtesy of the fantastic Russ Campbell.

This was a garbage race for me, so you can be assured I was truly suffering. At least I look pretty awesome IMO. Inspiration to hit the bricks and get fit and strong.

Thanks @Hermes! Maybe I'll see you at the track (if and when) it gets finished.

maybe it's the angle of the shot, but your position on the road bike looks very good. ditto for the TT bike, though the number pinning could be slightly better

btw, i have the exact same pair of arm warmers. Rapha, right?

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the new fit(s) this year. The hip angle is a bit narrow compared to how most riders are set up, but I still feel fine making power and definitely much more aero. My head and shoulders have been much lower compared to others in the pack, making me seem like a smaller rider even though I'm about average sized

Shoulda brought number glue. OTOH I hate the smell of Gu-Gone and dealing with the subsequent mess.

Yep, Rapha warmers. I forgot to order the team ones so I'm not fully matchy, oughta fix that soon (though with my luck I won't need them for the rest of the season once I order them)

I'm jelly of that fit. My "fit" looks pretty bad in pack photos. I'm guessing I have short legs so I end up with relatively higher bars, more hunched back, and too much leg movement up and down on 170 cranks. I'm thinkin I should get 165 or even shorter next time I get a chance. Can then raise saddle 5 mm, and lower bars accordingly, maybe 1 cm. Also then IAB would be easier, more air intake and less saddle nose skewering my nether-regions. This is all just guessing. But it sounds reasonable.
