2013 Tour de Gruene TTT - Aero Division

White helmet is me

We passed WR as he was playing mechanic on the side of the road - was a bit confused what was going on there. He was probably similarly confused when he motored past me shortly after that as I was solo and sitting up looking backward, wondering where the heck my partner was. Turned out my partner Schleck'ed his chain and I didn't hear him yell. Once my partner caught back up, we pressed on to win 3rd place in our division...but not before a couple Garmin Devo kids zipped past us like we were going backwards. The speed delta was flat out impressive!

Street signs are real. Someone sets them up at the course each week. Always makes for good pics.

Alec Proudfoot - Photograhy Ygduf and I bracketed the Low Key Hill Climb men's field as I was 52/58. It was a perfect day for the climb with light winds and ideal climbing temperature.

if you count the women your placement seems better!

Did you leave AV? I like the new kit!

Good shot.

Yeah, those top 3 or 4 teams looked really fast. It's amazing how much KL can still light it up, when I know how little he trains.

No, my wife works at Genentech so we also belong to their club and wear that kit on occasion. Adding the women will increase the size of the field but only improves my position a couple of places. However, a better spin is that I was 4th in my small group of 10.

I got away.

Then I got caught.

Somewhere in between, I suffered, and Mike Sanders took this photo of me.
