I must have short arms or something then, because it's a 110 stem with 10mm of spacers, practically fred-worthy. Shallow drop bars too.

internet fitting 101 says raise your bars like 4 inches and lower your head. Same CDA, way wider hip angle and diaphragm situation.

So, 100mm of spacers then?

Not to be defensive, but head was up because I was looking to see how far up the carrots were. By the next lap I was literally (as in literally, not figuratively) resting my helmet on the bars.

Short torso.

I understand that the drops need to be where they need to be. I'm an example of that. I'm just saying if my leg was even close to my torso I wouldn't be able to breathe well.

It helps that you're not fat like me. Well guessing about 20% for me so that's fat.

Well, I did move my saddle forward based on your last offhand comment so there is that, I'm definitely insecure about my position. This may cause derision, but I also had a buddy who did the Specialized fit university program or whatever they call it give me a their by-the-numbers fit and he said all the measurements were right in the middle of the ideal ranges so I should just move whatever I wanted anywhere and it would be fine. I like the feeling of being really small on the bike, but there's no counterfactual, so maybe if I moved everything around it would feel even better.

Maybe I should just go see the guy in NJ who everyone says is a guru.

I'd start by doing some five minute intervals in the drops, hoods, and tops, and use RPE to determine where it is easiest to make power. Ideally it should be in your most aero position. For me, it's the drops. However I do a lot of adaptation work every season to hone it.

GC, I would think about shorter cranks, not that you asked. Parvilla in MD is a guru too. I would use him but he's geographically unfeasible. He gave a lecture at a training camp I was on. I was convinced he deeply knows what he's doing.

I was gonna say, 895 may have the grin, but 934 has much smaller frontal area. Then I saw that last photo!

Was he one of the Jrs running through the rail lines this week? Seems that incident has caught the eye of some cycling media outlets.

I did not hear about that in the juniors. It was in the pros only I thought. That was a junior thing?

What was interesting is the UCI rules cover that stuff. Apparently its kinda common.
