I've had to stop lifting, I was way too heavy That's a full 10 kg smaller than I was in December.
I benched 300 this last off season, typically working up to 255 or 275 for rep work. Now I could probably do 225 a few times, but I haven't benched in months. If you meant OHP, I suck at that because of the long arms and would usually work with 135/155 but never would go anywhere near a max on it.

nice. those are huge numbers to me. even when I was lifting for the better part of a year I never got near there. I also have super long arms which are bad leverage, in my defense. "
still, you look good in kit and that's 3/4 of the reason for racing.

I've been lifting on and off for the better part of 10 years so the gains come slow unfortunately. I think you're doing it right mixing it up a bit here and there with lifting, if nothing else it helps some of the monotony that comes with a singular focus.

I'm not sure, but those bars flare out some for a wider grip stance, and the very stable geometry encourages an all-out sprinting (and cx holeshot) effort. I even broke the previous handlebar, right at the clamp.
There is some limit as to how far forward that I can lean while sprinting, as the stem is at my belly button (why it is padded, though I've also hit my chin on it).

It was out and back rolling terrain. No real hills, but that finishing roller sure felt like a mountain! Planned the attack halfway through the race. Attacked at the turn around into a tailwind maybe 1.5 or 1.75 miles from the finish. Needed the big gap I got for the headwind hill finish.

PC: my dad
Did a stage race this weekend, pix from the CRIT. SUPER HARD, dropped off the pace of the front group.... chasing group picked me up, as i was about to pull the plug. Two dudes in the chasing group took big pulls and got me within sniffing distance and i bridged back up to the front group , where for the remainder or the race it was mellower. 55+ starters, finished 11th of 18 finishers or so. Didn't do like i wanted in the TT, but was decently consistent the weekend and got 9th overall, where i wrapped up the final points needed for my upgrade.
I was OTB 1/4 way in =( , This was a hard moment....

I can't decide if I want to buy this picture. I like it, except for my face and the humiliating 4th that it represents.
